Amy Richardson
She joined Northcutt Reporting Service in July 2018, bringing with her 34 years of experience as an Official Court Reporter with the Second Judicial Circuit of Illinois. A graduate of Southern Illinois University-Carbondale's court reporting program, Amy has a distinguished background in the field.
She is a former President of the Illinois Court Reporters Association and a past Chairperson of the Illinois Certified Shorthand Reporters Board. Active in both the Illinois Court Reporters Association and the National Court Reporters Association, Amy holds several prestigious credentials, including Registered Professional Reporter, Registered Diplomate Reporter, and Certified Realtime Reporter. She is also certified in Missouri, Illinois, Arizona, and Idaho.
Throughout her career, Amy has reported on a variety of high-profile cases, including numerous murder and felony trials, as well as civil cases, such as medical malpractice, product liability, and contract disputes. Notably, she provided real-time reporting and daily rough draft transcripts for an eight-day fraudulent misrepresentation trial that concluded with a $59 million verdict.
In her role as a freelance reporter, Amy handles depositions, grand jury proceedings, and U.S. District Court trials for the Southern District of Illinois. She also offers remote court reporting services across other states. She currently resides in Benton, Illinois.
